Getting Scouted for Football
Clubs all the way from semi-pro to premier league will be in attendance. There should on average be anywhere from 6-12 scouts watching at any given time. Clubs will usually only scout players within their catchment area which will approximately be within 90 minutes of where their club is located. At the end of the trial players will be alerted as to which scouts are interested in them. There will then be arrangements made between parent and scout or scout and player.

Theres not a single answer for this question, however, to have the best chance of being scouted you should at least be playing regular football for a local club. As a player looking to get scouted you should also be spending time polishing the weaker part of your game, do not just wait for training sessions with your club. The best players will often work on their craft away from training sessions.

On trial day come as you are and stick to your game scouts look for different qualities when scouting players.

Your chances of being scouted will be high depending on you and your performance, what we do is give you the best opportunity of getting scouted. This is the main question of trialist when they look to book their place on our showcase days, however as long as you’re well prepared, you’ll have a great chance of being spotted. We will give you enough chance to show your skills in training drills and 11 aside matches, before you come make sure you have ticked off all the boxed required for you to give the best version of yourself.

You will need to bring your football boots with you which will be specified in your acceptance email. We will usually recommend bringing moulds as they can be used on all surfaces we play on. Trialist will also need to bring shinpads with them on the day. As for match day kits we provide for outfield players, goalkeepers will be asked to bring whatever they’re comfortable playing in. Refreshments will be provided however if there is anything you prefer to have feel free to bring it along on trial day.
